In the last 50 years, human fish consumption has doubled, and aquaculture supplies more than half of this consumption. With a growth of 7% per year, the production of feed for farmed fish is gaining importance in the food industry.

At Rosal we offer complete solutions for the production of all types of fish pellets, from floating to sinking, always taking into account the customer's needs and with the lowest possible environmental impact.

Production processes

Conveying

Our conveying solutions cover all stages of feed production, from the reception of raw materials to the final product. We design tailor-made systems combining elevators, chain conveyors, transgran conveyors and screw conveyors adapted to the needs of each plant.

Precleaning and screening

The cleaning of raw materials is an indispensable process in the production chain in order to guarantee the highest level of purity in the final product.

Our screening equipment protects the manufacturing equipment from the presence of wood chips, stones or other particles that may cause damage to the conveying and processing system.

Storage

Once the grain is inside the factory, it is stored in specific silos designed to maintain its quality and protect it from external factors. These silos are equipped with ventilation and humidity control systems to preserve the grain's properties until it is processed.

Dosing and weighing

Our dosing and weighing equipment guarantees the precision required in feed mills, ensuring accurate weighing in loading, unloading, bagging and weight control, as well as mixing systems for micro-components.

Grinding

With our versatile grinding portfolio, which includes horizontal and vertical hammer mills as well as roller mills, we can cover all your needs. We offer solutions for pre-grinding and regrinding, coarse and fine grinding as well as for the production of granules of different sizes.

Mixing

The main objective of the mixing process is to achieve a correct homogenization of the product. All the raw material, previously milled, as well as the micro-ingredients and other correctors, are fed into the mixer.

Extruded

The Rosal extruder is designed to manufacture high quality extruded food for dogs, cats, fish and cereals. During the process, the machine applies pressure to the grain to force it through an opening, eliminating anti-tryptic factors, improving digestibility and neutralizing anti-nutritional components.

Drying

The objective of the drying system in a feed mill is to achieve the minimum moisture content in the final product.

The wet pellets are fed through one side of the dryer and agitated inside the drum, spreading them evenly across the drying area and exposing them to hot air.

Liquid application

Regreasers are equipment designed to optimize the final quality of the feed, allowing the precise addition of fat, oil or other liquids to the pellet prior to dispatch. This process improves the adherence of liquids, ensuring a uniform coating that increases the nutritional value and properties of the feed.

Cooling

Mabrik coolers are intended to cool the pellets coming out of the pelletizing process to a temperature close to the ambient temperature at the factory. Their design follows the thermal counterflow cooling process, which we consider to be the most efficient for pelletized products and allows for a compact machine design.
